Summer PlusThis message is to inform you that due to low enrollment, we will NOT be running the Summer Plus program this summer. All registration fees for Summer Plus will be refunded through ARUX to the original method of payment. The Summer Music Academy will still run for four weeks, Monday through Friday, from June 29 to July 24, 2026 (closed July 3), serving rising grades 4–12 students at Frelinghuysen Middle School. This program remains open to both in-district and out-of-district students and provides instrumental music students with small group lessons, large ensembles, and music electives. Sunrise / Sunset CareWelcome to the Morris School District Sunrise/Sunset Childcare Programs The Sunrise and Sunset programs are operated by the Community School and are designed for children attending the district’s elementary and middle schools. Programs are available for children from Pre-K through 8th grade, without regard to race, color, sex, religion, national origin, or disabilities, on a first-come, first-served basis. Program Overview Sunrise (Before School, K–5 only): Offered at three schools. Sunset (After School): Available at all seven elementary schools, the Lafayette Learning Center and the Frelinghuysen Middle School. Programs include a snack, homework assistance, physical activity, and STEAM projects. We strive to create a welcoming, supportive environment for all students and families. 🗓 Registration Information Registration is NOW OPEN! and will remain available through August 14, 2026. Registration will temporarily close from August 15 to September 14 while we prepare for the start of the school year. Two Artists Who Brought European Modernism to America: Session 2Adult ProgramsSession 2 is a continuation of Session 1 but it is not a requirement. You are welcome to attend both sessions or just 1.Joseph Stella became involved with the Futurist movement in his native Italy while also learning about other forms of European Modernism. Having moved to America, he made paintings that captured the dynamism of modern life in the early twentieth century. At the same time, the Russian-born artist Max Weber was also introducing European Cubism and Futurism to American viewers. This class will focus on the similarities and differences in their works and careers, and assess their importance in the development of American Modernism.Fall 2026
