Space Explorers
Blast off into the cosmos with this astronomy-focused elective! Students will learn about planets, stars, and galaxies through interactive activities and simulations. They'll create models of the solar system, learn about space exploration, and even stargaze (weather permitting).

Movement Based Coding
Get moving while learning to code! This innovative elective combines physical activity with basic programming concepts. Students will use platforms like Scratch to create programs that respond to their movements, making coding a full-body experience.

Design Your Own Escape Room
Challenge students to think creatively and logically as they design their own escape room puzzles. They'll learn about narrative structure, puzzle design, and basic engineering concepts while creating a series of challenges for their classmates to solve.

Recycled Art Workshop
Turn trash into treasure in this eco-friendly art elective! Students will learn about sustainability while creating beautiful art pieces from recycled materials. They'll explore sculpture, collage, and mixed media techniques using items that would otherwise be discarded.

Geometric Art
Discover the beautiful intersection of math and art! Students will learn about geometric principles and use them to create stunning visual art. They'll explore symmetry, fractals, tessellations, and more, seeing how mathematical concepts can produce amazing artistic results.

Obstacle Course Challenge
Get creative with fitness in this exciting PE elective! Students will work in teams to design, build, and navigate obstacle courses using various equipment. They'll develop physical skills like balance and coordination while also honing problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

If insufficient enrollment occurs for an elective, the Morris School District reserves the right to modify or cancel the course.

Families will be promptly notified of any changes to their child's selected elective.
