Cooking Around the World
Embark on a culinary journey across the globe! Students will explore the science behind cooking while learning about different cultures and cuisines. They'll discover how chemical reactions create delicious results, understand the importance of measurements, and develop an appreciation for diverse flavors and cooking techniques.

Robotics Basics
Introduce students to the exciting world of robotics! They'll learn about basic programming concepts, sensors, and mechanical systems while building and programming simple robots. This hands-on elective encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity in a tech-focused environment.

Junior Journalists
Transform students into budding reporters! They'll learn the basics of journalism, including researching, interviewing, and writing articles. The class will work together to create a summer newsletter, covering school events and topics of interest to their peers.

Mixed Media Madness
Unleash creativity with this diverse art elective! Students will explore various art techniques and materials, combining different mediums to create unique pieces. They'll experiment with painting, collage, sculpture, and more, learning how different materials interact and complement each other.

Puzzle Masters
Challenge young minds with an array of logic puzzles and brain teasers! Students will tackle sudoku, riddles, tangrams, and other mind-bending challenges. This elective enhances critical thinking, pattern recognition, and problem-solving skills in a fun, engaging way.

Team Sport Sampler
Introduce students to a variety of team sports in this active elective. They'll learn the basic rules and skills for sports like soccer, basketball, volleyball, and more. The focus will be on teamwork, sportsmanship, and enjoying physical activity rather than competition.

If insufficient enrollment occurs for an elective, the Morris School District reserves the right to modify or cancel the course.

Families will be promptly notified of any changes to their child's selected elective.
