Block 1 options for weeks 1 - 3

  • Chemistry in the Kitchen:  
    • Discover the science behind cooking in this fun, hands-on class. Students will conduct edible experiments, learn about chemical reactions, and explore the delicious world where science meets the kitchen. 
  • Lego Robotics:  
    • Unleash your inner engineer and programmer with Lego Robotics! Students will work in teams to design, build, and program robots using LEGO® Education kits. They'll learn about coding, problem-solving, and teamwork as they tackle exciting challenges and bring their robotic creations to life. This class is being run by an outside provider; Snapology of Livingston NJ. Possible courses include: RoboPets, Mega Machines, Attackbots, and Space Wars. Click here to learn more about Snapology.  
  • CS First Storytelling:  
    • Explore the world of digital storytelling using computer science! Students will learn to create interactive stories, animations, and games while developing coding skills and unleashing their creativity. 
  • Watercolor:  
    • Dive into the world of watercolor painting! Students will learn various techniques to create beautiful, vibrant artworks while exploring color theory and composition. 
  • TREP$ (4th and 5th Only):  
    • Young entrepreneurs will love this program! Students will learn the basics of running a business, from product development to marketing and sales, all while applying practical math skills. 
  • Ultimate Sports:  
    • Experience a variety of sports and active games in this dynamic class! Students will learn the fundamentals of different sports, develop teamwork skills, and improve their overall fitness through fun and engaging activities. From classic games to new and exciting sports, this class is designed to promote a healthy lifestyle and a love for physical activity.

Please choose one class for the block. 

If insufficient enrollment occurs for an elective, the Morris School District reserves the right to modify or cancel the course.

Families will be promptly notified of any changes to their child's selected elective.
